Though Valentine’s Day has a long and complicated history and arguably most people find it now too commercial and insincere, I’m going to embrace it as a day to just share some extra love and appreciation for people. Instead of the usual last minute treats, I’ve surprised myself and already have found some sweet things to consider.

Our Landscaping Plan
Hope y’all had a nice Christmas and are looking forward to a great 2022!
One of the best things we’ve done in fixing up grandma’s old house is hire a landscape architect to work with us and come up with a master plan for the front flower beds and hardscape.

Both boys are down for their afternoon nap, so I thought I’d jump on here and show y’all a bit of progress on our little garden. Our steel beds arrived very quickly and Blaine got to work putting them together. But first, he graded the garden area with the tractor. It’s just outside our kitchen window.
