George’s Nursery

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Psalms 139:13

George Milton Hust arrived about 3 weeks early! He’s healthy and sweet as can be. Big brother, Jack, adores him and is ready for him to play!

George’s nursery is mostly done, so I thought I’d share it here.

English Sampler circa 1843 by a little girl named Emma – purchased from Leftovers in Brenham Texas last fall

Here’s a better photo of it in the store the day I bought it. Love it!

Another Leftovers find at Round Top – an antique English plate

Antique armoire is from my uncle Jim

Moms on Call books – the best gift of advice for new parents!

The framed print is from George’s late Old Memaw’s estate.

I found his antique crib at Courtyard Antiques in Paducah, Kentucky.

My friend, Kate, has the best recipe for lactation cookies. I’ve been making cookie dough balls to freeze and pull out to bake as needed. They have brewer’s yeast, milled flax seeds, coconut oil, rich European butter, dark chocolate chips, cinnamon, and lots of ground oats in them.

They make a great gift packaged up in cute boxes too!

That’s all for now – George is up from his afternoon nap!

See this post and this post for more details about purchases & inspiration for his room.
