Our boy, Jack, is already almost 2 years old, and I never really finished his nursery. (Time, please slow down.) So I’m trying to get a head-start on ideas for his future big-boy room! It won’t be long before he’s out of his crib. I’ve gathered some inspiration and sources for it in this post:
Love the mix of patterns and textures on the bed. Natural rug layered with a hide. Pine chest of drawers.
I like this hand-blocked Indian deer printed kantha. Click for source.
Same print – in larger quilt version.
Vintage Troy wool blanket. $25 on eBay.
Vintage Ralph Lauren wool blanket
Ralph Lauren wool throw $68.
Vintage Wool Blanket. Made in England. $40.
Loving this curtain/blind combo. Have the floor lamp, too.
Affordable linen curtains – already have. Click for link.
Bamboo blinds in color Quince – Already installed
More linen drapes. We have the longhorn cowhide rug.
Love the bed! And map in gilded frames. Plaid throw.
Metal bed as seen on eBay. Circa 1930s. $300. Full size.
Love the grouping of animal prints. Pine chest. Bamboo blinds. Checked curtains and matching headboards.
Affordable game fowl prints
Morel mushroom print – He loves to eat mushrooms! Would go with a hunting/woodsy grouping of frames.
Click for source to these burl wood frames. Not cheap though very pretty.
Schoolhouse shade with blue stripe. Already installed.
I like the old toys displayed on the wooden built-in. Monogrammed pillow is sweet too.
Windowpane pillow cover. Could monogram, perhaps. ($48 rectangle.)
Monogram source – Etsy. Click to link.
We currently have curtains made of this fabric in his room.
Although my fabric is not the exact same, I got the idea of Texas fabric curtains from Holly Mathis, as seen here.
Here is a closer look at her fabric.
Love the beds and the gallery wall. Plaid rug.
LL Bean Comforter Cover. Click to link.
Love this fabric. Pinned it for his nursery. Never found it available for sale.
Mono color palette. Plaid throw, stag over the headboard, antique hunting pic.
Love the old bed and pine chest of drawers.
Placing the bed up against the wall is practical for a new big boy bed sleeper. Scallop pillows are sweet – Ballard Designs has some.
Such a large room! Love the bed, wicker chest and zebra rug.
