Our boy, Jack, is already almost 2 years old, and I never really finished his nursery. (Time, please slow down.) So I’m trying to get a head-start on ideas for his future big-boy room! It won’t be long before he’s out of his crib. I’ve gathered some inspiration and sources for it in this post:

Love the mix of patterns and textures on the bed. Natural rug layered with a hide. Pine chest of drawers.

More linen drapes. We have the longhorn cowhide rug.

Love the bed! And map in gilded frames. Plaid throw.

Love the grouping of animal prints. Pine chest. Bamboo blinds. Checked curtains and matching headboards.

Morel mushroom print – He loves to eat mushrooms! Would go with a hunting/woodsy grouping of frames.

Windowpane pillow cover. Could monogram, perhaps. ($48 rectangle.)

Although my fabric is not the exact same, I got the idea of Texas fabric curtains from Holly Mathis, as seen here.
Here is a closer look at her fabric.

Love the beds and the gallery wall. Plaid rug.

Love this fabric. Pinned it for his nursery. Never found it available for sale.

Mono color palette. Plaid throw, stag over the headboard, antique hunting pic.

Love the old bed and pine chest of drawers.

Placing the bed up against the wall is practical for a new big boy bed sleeper. Scallop pillows are sweet – Ballard Designs has some.

Such a large room! Love the bed, wicker chest and zebra rug.
